The free diagnostic

Two files, ninety days, and an answer before you close the tab.

Give it a point-of-sale export and a door count and it works out the revenue curve for your room: what you earn at each occupancy, where that curve peaks, and what the next patron through the door is worth where you actually run. It is the same derivation every figure on this site is built from, pointed at your numbers instead of ours.

It is free, and it needs a free account. You give us an email address, we send you a link, and that address becomes your account — no password to choose and none to forget. Your reports stay under it, and deleting the account deletes every one of them. what that means, in full.

Type the address you want the link sent to. There is no password to choose and none to forget — we mail you a link, you open it, and you are in.

What to send

Ninety days is the window worth asking for — long enough that every occupancy your room reaches has been sat at more than once. Toast and Square both export CSV; so does almost everything else, and a door counter will give you buckets.

Today it reads one shape, and it is the shape this site publishes its own measurements in. Two files, sent as they come or zipped, with these first lines exactly:

The sample dataset on the science page is a working example of both files. Download it, feed it straight back in, and you will get the curve that page is drawn from. the published sample and what is in it.

If none of the above is how you would have put it, start at the beginning instead — the same thing, one small step at a time, in plain words.
